Bought a few CDs of the old Saturday morning cartoons a while back so my kid could grow up properly. Ah, the memories...

I’ve got one of the box sets. I need to get it out and watch it.

There are also a couple obscure cable channels that do sat morning cartoons. Can’t remember which ones at the moment.

Boomerang is one (it’s tagline is, “It’s all coming back to you.”). My Dish lineup dropped that channel, and I was bummed.

That’s it! I think it’s still on our Uverse package. People these days talk about how the old cartoons were so violent, but today’s Nickelodeon and Disney Channel stuff is far worse in my opinion. It teaches kids to snark at everyone to an imaginary laugh track running in their heads. Plus, trauma from TV violence can be treated with counseling, but bad acting scars for life.

Agreed. When I was watching the WB cartoons, they had a full 90 minutes on CBS. Then, they edited out all the violence and cut the show down to 30 minutes. The cartoons were worthless without the slapstick.

Yep. Also, I gotta admit, no matter how many times I watch, I still root for the coyote to catch and eat that smug road runner. It’s like how I want Charlie Brown for just once to forget about kicking the football and aim for Lucy’s head.
